چکیده

Drug Delivery In article number 2000069, Boaz Mizrahi and co-workers report a new nano delivery system that is based on injectable liquid copolymer. The copolymer, starPEG-PLGA (red blue in the image) mixed with drug (green spheres without any solvents or excipients. After mixture injected into body, copolymer self-assembles situ well-defined nanoparticles.

Conjugation of cell-penetrating peptides with poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-polyethylene glycol nanoparticles improves ocular drug delivery

In this work, a peptide for ocular delivery (POD) and human immunodeficiency virus transactivator were conjugated with biodegradable poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PGLA)-polyethylene glycol (PEG)-nanoparticles (NPs) in an attempt to improve ocular drug bioavailability. The NPs were prepared by the solvent displacement method following two different pathways. One involved preparation of PLGA NPs...

Poly(lactic-co-glycolic Acid) Based Drug Delivery Devices for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine

Poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) is the most frequently used biodegradable polymer for developing nano/ microparticles encapsulating therapeutic drugs in controlled release (CR) applications. PLGA based drug delivery devices have several advantages over the conventional devices. One of the advantage is the extended release rates of drugs up to days, weeks or months. Other reasons for the w...
